Our research methodology was based on seven categories of leading marketing operations business practices demonstrated by the highest-performing marketing and business development functions across all industries. For statements corresponding to each category, respondents were asked to rate both the importance of the business practice to the firm and the firm’s performance in executing it using a six-point scale (0-5).
The category of marketing data address firms’ ability to practice data-driven marketing, including access to and quality of marketing data, and skills to analyze and present it.
