You’re invited to view the recording of the College of Law Practice Management’s webinar on D&I in law firms

Although the focus on D&I in law firms has been gaining emphasis over the past few years, the social unrest of 2020 has forced law firms to take increased action. However, law firms have a huge blind spot: most are only focused on lawyer D&I programs, excluding as much as 50% of their talent pool from consideration. The caste-system environment that is inherent in most law firm cultures is not sustainable for firms who wish to achieve success in the future.

In September 2020, Calibrate launched a research program, Calibrate ID, with several law firms to measure the diversity of their business services (“non-lawyer”) teams. The hypothesis is that there will be, in fact, a large number of employees reporting as diverse in the non-exempt ranks but that we will realize a significant disparity when reviewing data within the exempt/management ranks.

Presenters:

  • Bryan Colucci, Chief Business Development & Marketing Officer, Kilpatrick Townsend (Calibrate ID participating firm)
  • Jennifer Johnson, CEO, Calibrate (COLPM Fellow and founder of Calibrate ID)
  • Maithili Pradhan, Manager of Diversity, Ballard Spahr, LLP (Calibrate ID participating firm)
  • Tommy Shi, Director of Inclusion and Diversity – US, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (Calibrate ID participating firm)

Join the panelists for a lively discussion surrounding the need for all-inclusive diversity efforts in law firms and learn how your firm can begin positioning itself to respond.
